PU120 EPDM Fix is a high-quality, one-component polyurethane adhesive for bonding all types of EPDM roofing membrane to a wide range of substrates. Applied by brush, roller or spreader, this roll adhesive reaches a tensile strength of 60 N/50mm² after ageing, is loadable after around 2 hours and can be used both partially — with a minimum coverage of 60% — or as a full-surface bond, with a comparatively low VOC content for its category.

How does private label work for a polyurethane EPDM roll adhesive?

As the manufacturer of this polyurethane EPDM roll adhesive, we produce it under your own brand name. It works in a few clear steps: together we select the right product and you test samples in your own application. We then customise the tin, the box and the label to your brand, with support from our in-house marketing team for the label design, and we take care of the technical and safety data sheets and the UFI codes. Finally, we produce, check every batch in our own laboratory and deliver on the agreed schedule.

What is the MOQ for a polyurethane EPDM roll adhesive in tins?

For tins we are very flexible: we can supply this polyurethane EPDM roll adhesive in private label from a minimum order quantity (MOQ) of just 100 pieces. Tins are usually fitted with a professional label; for very large quantities, the tins can also be screen-printed.

Does the PU120 EPDM Fix need to cover the full surface, or can it be applied partially?

PU120 EPDM Fix Roll Adhesive can be applied either partially, with a minimum coverage of 60 %, or over the full surface. It is applied with a brush or roller at 150–250 g/m². Roll out the EPDM membrane directly after applying the adhesive, smooth out any air bubbles as quickly as possible and roll the membrane firmly again after approximately 30 minutes.

Which EPDM membranes and substrates is the PU120 EPDM Fix suitable for?

This polyurethane EPDM roll adhesive is suitable for bonding all types of EPDM onto concrete, aerated concrete, fibre cement, wood, stainless steel sheeting and bitumen. Polyurethane adheres to both porous and non-porous substrates and has good water and moisture resistance. The substrate must be clean, dry, dust-free and free of visible or standing water; PE, PP and PTFE are not suitable.

How long is the working time of the PU120 EPDM Fix, and when does it reach full strength?

The open time is 50–70 minutes (ASTM C679), giving installers ample time on large roof areas. The bond can be loaded after 2 hours and reaches final strength after 48 hours. In cold conditions we recommend bringing the closed tins to room temperature before use, as the minimum processing temperature is +5 °C.
